Spring Wedding at Marengo House

Laura Jean and Tyler’s wedding at the Marengo House in Lowndesboro was the kind of day that felt like a step back in time—in the best possible way. The historic charm of the venue, paired with all the meaningful heirlooms woven throughout the day, created a celebration that was deeply personal and full of legacy.

Laura Jean was a vision in white, but it was the sentimental details that truly told her story. Around her neck, she wore a necklace created from the diamonds of her late grandmother’s engagement ring. The band itself became her wedding ring—a beautiful nod to a woman she adored, looked up to, and hopes to emulate throughout her own marriage. Her earrings added another layer of meaning, passed down from her great-grandmother on her mother’s side. Each piece whispered a story of generations of love and strength.

And then there was the veil—borrowed from her new sister-in-law, but far more than just a “something borrowed.” Crafted with lace from one grandmother’s wedding gown and pearls from the other’s, it wrapped Laura Jean in both elegance and legacy as she walked down the aisle.

The groom’s cake base and the boutonnieres were accented with feathers from one of Laura Jean’s own turkeys—an unexpected and special detail that added a personal, rustic charm.
