It’s hard to believe it has already been six years since I first photographed Cam and his siblings at their grandmother’s house back in 2020. Time really does fly. When Cam’s mom, Hope, reached out about scheduling his senior portraits, I was excited to see their family again and celebrate such a special milestone.

For Cam’s senior session, they chose a location that couldn’t have been more meaningful: their family’s lodge. The beautiful cabin sits overlooking a peaceful pond and provided such a perfect backdrop for his portraits. The incoming storms kept us on our toes, but the lighting couldn’t have been more perfect.

One of my favorite details from the session was what Cam chose to wear. To honor his late grandfather, he wore his grandfather’s button-down shirt and watch for part of his portraits. It was such a meaningful way to include someone so important to their family in this milestone moment. Personal details like that always make portraits even more special and I know those images will be treasured for years to come.

Cam was great to work with throughout the session. He was easygoing and happily went along with every pose I suggested, which made the afternoon flow smoothly. We spent time around the cabin, by the pond, and taking advantage of the beautiful light around the property. The entire session felt relaxed and the setting gave us so many great spots for his portraits.

Cam and Hope, it was so good seeing you again after all these years and getting to photograph this milestone for you. It truly means so much when families invite me back to document these important seasons and I’m so grateful you chose me to be part of this one. Cam, I wish you all the best and good luck as you begin this next chapter in college!
