It can be nerve-racking to get in front of a camera.  I’m not sure what it is about these devices that gives us such anxiety.  Maybe it’s an aversion to being the center of attention.  Maybe it’s because we are conditioned into thinking that professional photo sessions equal hours of boredom.  At least those are the two reasons I used to hate taking pictures.

When Troy proposed to Morgan, he knew he wanted this momentous occasion documented, but he didn’t want to be the center of attention.  These two love traveling together, so Troy decided to propose on a recent trip to Nashville.  They explored the city and took pictures in front of multiple downtown murals.  When they stopped at a wall covered with hand-painted flowers, Troy set up his Go Pro.  He walked over to Morgan, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him.  I watched the video multiple times because it was just too sweet!

I met Morgan and Troy for the first time at their engagement session and I knew right away we were going to have a great time.  We started at Sherling Lake and they got to witness me huffing and puffing as I tried to walk up the hills.  A real treat if you ever need to feel better about your lung capacity haha.  We also stopped by both of their wedding venues for a few shots!  It will be so special to have both engagement and wedding photos at First Baptist Church Greenville and Camellia Pavilion!

Morgan and Troy, thank you so much for choosing me to capture such important milestones in your life.  That’s not a job I take lightly and I hope you treasure these photos for a lifetime.  Thank you for trusting me when I asked you to do weird things like lay on the ground, stand in front of ugly trees, and sit in a random boat!  We are going to have so much fun on your wedding day!
