Avondale Park Engagement Session

Posted in: Engagements/Couples, For Brides

Brittni contacted me a couple of months ago about photographing her upcoming wedding to her fiancé, John.  After a few emails and a Zoom call, she verified that I was a real person.  I had never thought about it, but so many brides take huge risks hiring vendors they don’t know.  It makes me even more grateful for all those brides that hired me without knowing me first!

Since I was about to have a baby when Brittni contacted me, we had to wait until January to do their engagement session.  The first session date had to be rescheduled due to a rain storm.  The second session date was rescheduled due to an impending snow storm.  Our third attempt was a success and I’m so glad we waited because the light was perfect!

Neither Brittni nor John had taken professional photos before their engagement session.  You wouldn’t know it to look at their photos though!  They effortlessly snuggled, nuzzled, and cuddled each other making my job easy.  At the end of their session, I asked them to do a leaf toss photo.  We didn’t have anyone to toss the leaves for us, but Brittni and John were up for the challenge!  They tossed the leaves in the air and quickly kissed as the leaves were falling.  We did the leaf toss a few times for good measure and I LOVE how they turned out!  If you want to see a behind the scenes look of the leaf toss, click here to see my Instagram reel.

Brittni and John, thank you so much for taking a chance on a stranger from the internet and trusting me to capture your engagement session and wedding!  It truly means the world to me.  I had so much fun with both of you and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in Talladega in May!
