First Baptist Church Montgomery Wedding

Photography is all about freezing the moment and we took that quite literally at Lauren and Evan’s wedding. With subfreezing temperatures and a wind chill that makes you want to cry, we were all freezing. Thanks to the genius forethought of Lauren’s family, we had propane heaters set up outside for us to warm up between photos. They also had Hot Hands for the wedding party, which definitely came in handy (get it?).

The couple’s shared love for the beach found its way into the celebration, with delicate seashells gracing some of the detail photos. It was a subtle reminder of the place where their journey began since Evan also proposed at the beach. Lauren embraced tradition by wearing her mother-in-law’s garter as her something borrowed, intertwining past and present in a symbol of unity.

The reception hall held a treasure trove of sentimental details. Lauren honored family legacies by showcasing both her mother’s and mother-in-law’s wedding gowns. Wedding photos of parents and grandparents adorned a nearby table, showcasing the enduring love of the bride and groom’s ancestors. The cake topper, an heirloom from Lauren’s grandparents, added a touch of timeless elegance.

As the evening unfolded, stringed instruments created a harmonious backdrop for guests to savor and mingle. Every element of Lauren and Evan’s wedding spoke to the enduring power of love, family, and cherished memories—a testament to the beauty found in the details that make each union unique.
