Last weekend, amidst the vibrant blooms and lush greenery of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Sarah and Jack’s love story blossomed even further as they took photos to document their engagement. Despite the extra humidity in the air, the radiant sun provided the perfect backdrop. Sarah and Jack currently live in Nashville, but will be getting married in Birmingham next year. They seized the opportunity to do their engagement session while they were in town for a friend’s wedding.
We started our session in the fragrant rose garden, then made our way to the outdoor amphitheater. Their undeniable chemistry made photographing them a breeze! After a quick outfit change, we walked over to the greenhouse. Though it was warmer inside, Sarah and Jack were willing to brave the heat for a few pictures.
As they ventured into the room adorned with cacti, the temperature rose, mirroring the desert heat. Despite the sweltering conditions, Sarah and Jack still wanted to take pictures in there. We came up with a quick game plan, they braved the warmth, and we got the perfect shot.
Amid the excitement of taking their photos, I wasn’t paying attention to what was behind me. I collided with a cactus and got stuck – literally! Thankfully, I was able to quickly break free. One of these days I will figure out how to take pictures and watch out for things behind me 🙂
Sarah and Jack, thank you so much for trusting this stranger from the internet with your engagement photos and your wedding. It was a pleasure to meet both of you and get to know you as we explored the botanical gardens. We clicked immediately and I am so proud of all the gorgeous shots we took! I cannot wait to get both of you in front of the camera again next year!
