The second day of fall felt a lot more like mid-July during Maryn’s senior session, with temperatures soaring to nearly 100 degrees. Alabama, as it often does, seemed to miss the seasonal memo. But despite the heat, Maryn’s vibrant personality and the picturesque setting made for a beautiful and memorable session.

Maryn is one of my amazing senior spokesmodels this year. She chose to have her session at her aunt and uncle’s house in Sardis, which was the perfect location for her laid-back yet adventurous style. The property had everything: a tree swing that added a touch of whimsy, open fields with tall grass for those classic Southern portrait vibes, and some standout features that really made this session pop.

One of the stars of the session was the vintage 1978 orange VW van parked on the property. We had so much fun with it, capturing images that exuded a retro, carefree feel. We joked that her navy-blue shirt and the orange from the van gave the photos an Auburn look.

Another unique touch was a flat-bottom boat, which her uncle had the brilliant idea to incorporate into the session. The whole setup gave us serious Ariel vibes! It certainly helped that her dad was in the background singing, “Ah ah ah ah ah ah.” 🙂

Between the playful energy of the van shots and the serene, whimsical feel of the boat pictures, Maryn’s session perfectly captured her vibrant personality and spirit. Even though it felt like we were still stuck in the middle of summer, the golden light and the meaningful touches from her family’s home made the day unforgettable.
