Leanna was one of my very first senior spokesmodels in 2021-2022, so seeing her again for such an exciting moment in her life was incredibly special. She moved to Prattville shortly after graduation and started attending her sister’s church, First Baptist Church Prattville, where she met Andrew at a Bible study. The connection they share is so sweet, and it was a joy to witness and capture it during their engagement session.
We started Leanna and Andrew’s session at her parents’ house in Selma, a place full of cherished memories for her. Our first stop was a nearby dirt road, where we found a cool spot in the shade, even with the sun shining bright. After a few more photos in front of the house, Leanna and Andrew went inside for a quick outfit change. Then, we headed to the rows of hay bales for some barefoot shots. They were even adventurous enough to climb on top of the hay bales and walk across them for a few fun photos! One shot that was especially meaningful to Leanna was with the house in the background, capturing the warmth and comfort of a place that’s shaped so much of who she is.
We also had a special guest for part of the session—Dolly, their adorable dog, who will be one of their flower girls! Dolly stole the show and added a touch of fun and sweetness to their photos. She was all smiles, just like her humans.
Leanna and Andrew, thank you for choosing me to photograph both your engagement session and your upcoming wedding. I can’t wait for May 2025 and to see Dolly again, too! It’s an honor to be part of your love story and I hope your photos bring a smile to your face every time you see them!
