Some seniors walk into their session excited for the experience, and others (always the guys)—well, let’s just say they’d rather be doing just about anything else. Jude fell into the second category, but you’d never know it from looking at his photos! Even though he wasn’t exactly thrilled about senior pictures, he went along with everything I asked him to do without complaint. And, honestly, I think we ended up having a pretty good time!
We started Jude’s session at Church Street United Methodist Church, his home church and a historic landmark in downtown Selma. I love when seniors choose locations that are meaningful to them, and this was the perfect place to capture a classic and timeless look. From there, we made our way to the Selma Country Club, where we incorporated something Jude actually does love—golf! He had already played a round of golf there earlier that day, so it was only fitting that we took some portraits on the course. It was the perfect setting for relaxed and natural photos that really reflected his personality.
Jude is headed to the University of Miami in the fall, so of course, we had to grab a few shots of him repping his future school with a University of Miami polo. It’s always exciting to see where my seniors are headed next, and I have no doubt that Jude will do great things!
On a personal note, it was such an honor to take Jude’s senior portraits. His dad is my kids’ pediatrician, and his mom is truly one of the sweetest people. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to capture this exciting season for their family!
Jude, I hope your senior year is full of great memories and that your next adventure at Miami is everything you hope it will be!
