The two best times to take photos are close to sunrise and close to sunset. That’s when the light is softer and you get a nice, warm glow from the sun. You won’t see many sunrise sessions from me because sleeping in is one of my love languages. I will, however, always do a sunrise session if schedules prevent a sunset session, which was the case with Jordan and Kendall. Jordan is from Selma, but she lives close to Mobile now and I had plans to come down to Mobile last weekend. The only time all three of us were available was early Saturday morning. Even though I didn’t get to sleep in that morning, I did get to spend time with such a sweet couple and take photos of them to remember this season of their lives.
When Jordan asked for location recommendations in Mobile, my first thought was downtown Mobile. I grew up in Mobile and always admired the history and architecture downtown. Plus, there are so many great spots for photos! We spent a lot of time near the Mobile Convention Center and the History Museum of Mobile, which brought back many fond memories for me.
Jordan and Kendall share a love of their University of West Alabama tigers and their New Orleans Saints. I love when couples incorporate things they love (besides each other 🙂 ) into their sessions! It makes the photos so unique and even more special for them. Jordan even brought a pearl necklace that her grandmother gave her that I photographed with her ring.
You may remember reading about Jordan and Kendall’s Christmas Tree Farm Proposal a couple of months ago. It has been fun to capture each milestone of their love so far and I am so excited about their church wedding in May! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Jordan and Kendall’s engagement session. Be sure to leave them some love!
