Olivia and Charlie had already taken some super cute engagement photos before they booked me for their June wedding at First Baptist Church of Selma. However, I highly encourage my couples to do an engagement session with me for reasons I have shared in a previous blog post here. I already knew Olivia, but I wanted to get to know them as a couple.
Most guys don’t like taking engagement pictures and they certainly don’t like having to do two sessions. Olivia warned me that Charlie was not a big fan of taking pictures, but that he was willing to do a second engagement session. It’s always my mission to make my sessions as fun and painless as possible. If you have to take pictures, it should be fun, right? For Charlie not to like taking pictures, he sure did seem to enjoy himself! He and Olivia were constantly laughing and their eyes lit up when they looked at each other. They were so adorable together that I couldn’t help but smile with each shutter click.
We had a surprise guest during their engagement session – a peacock! Olivia knew they were on the property, but it still caught us off guard when it came walking down the sidewalk. It really caught me off guard and I screamed when Olivia screamed because her scream scared me haha. We really hoped the peacock would spread his feathers for us, but he just walked right past us.
Olivia and Charlie, thank you for agreeing to do another engagement session! I know you are both very busy, but I feel confident that it was worth the time investment for all three of us. I had so much fun with y’all and I’m even more excited to capture your June wedding!
