Shortly after taking Camryn’s newborn photos, Aly said we needed to plan our next Panama City Beach trip when Camryn is 6 months old so she could take her 6-month photos.  Done!  But, I told her that I wanted to take some lifestyle family photos of her family while we were down there.

When we started prepping for Aly’s lifestyle session, I said, “I want y’all to be as natural as possible; you know, chaotic.”  I would never say this to someone other than a close friend or relative, but the truth is, family life is chaotic.  Weston and I know now first-hand that parenthood is pure pandemonium sometimes and we only have one child.  I imagine that chaos is multiplied with each additional child.

Aly and Pitt have three beautiful, sweet, and lively boys.  With a mom as a photographer, you know they have a TON of photos taken.  Their oldest son, Philip, said he didn’t want to take pictures that day; however, we assured him it would be fun.  “There will be tickle fights!” we said in our best sing-song voices.  That was enough to get them excited.  At least for a few minutes! 😉

I know many moms want “just one photo with everyone looking at the camera” and I think those are highly valuable.  That’s what I strive for during every session.  I also believe that candid shots with your kids just being kids are ones that you will treasure forever.  I am thrilled to announce that I will be offering snuggle sessions from now on that are heavily focused on candid moments (plus a couple with everyone looking at the camera)!
