Senior portraits are the perfect opportunity to express your personality and style.  Anna Grace wanted to do her portraits in a garden.  If you’re familiar with Selma, you know that we do not have any type of botanical garden or park with beautiful florals.  Sometimes people look at me like I have two heads when I suggest a location.  Thankfully, Anna Grace went for it when I suggested doing her senior portraits at New Live Oak Cemetery.  Yes, the cemetery!

New Live Oak Cemetery is no stranger to runners because of the paved roads and serene natural beauty.  Weston and I used to run here a few times a week and I always thought it would be a great spot for a portrait session.  Only two other people have taken me up on it so far!  I do have to be extra creative with posing and angles to make sure there are no tombstones in the background, but it’s totally worth it!

We have had Anna Grace’s senior session scheduled since July 2021.  As luck would have it, we timed it perfectly for when the multitude of azalea bushes were in full bloom at the cemetery.  The azaleas were showing off everywhere we turned.  We even found a wall of azaleas in one part of the cemetery!  The words “obsessed” and “magical” were used quite a few times.  I could have taken pictures of Anna Grace here all day!

Anna Grace, thank you for being part of my first Senior Spokesmodel team and for choosing me to take your senior portraits!  I have enjoyed getting to know you over the last year and I am so proud of all the photos we took.  You are beautiful inside and out.  You will do great things and I can’t wait to see how you light up your world.  Thank you for such a wonderful year!
