Wedding at The Cedars

Posted in: Weddings

Cheyenne and Austin’s gorgeous wedding day was held at the First United Methodist Church with a reception at The Cedars in Demopolis. Cheyenne’s attention to detail and sentimental touches made her wedding day even more special and meaningful. She incorporated heirlooms that beautifully honored her family’s legacy. One such treasured piece was the purse given to her by her grandmother. This purse not only added an elegant touch to her ensemble, but also served as a symbol of the love and support passed down through generations.

Adding to the significance of her jewelry, Cheyenne adorned herself with a diamond necklace crafted from the diamonds of her great grandmother’s wedding set. It was a stunning accessory that shimmered with a rich history and added a touch of glamour to her bridal look.

Keeping with tradition, Cheyenne also had a sixpence in her shoe. This age-old custom symbolizes prosperity and good fortune for the newlyweds as they embark on their journey together. The small but meaningful detail was a nod to the timeless customs that have been passed down through generations, connecting Cheyenne’s wedding day to the rich tapestry of wedding traditions.

Cheyenne did a first look with all the important ladies in her life, her groom, and her dad. Each of those ladies gave awe-inspiring reactions to seeing the bride in her gown for the first time. Cheyenne’s anticipation grew as she prepared to see her groom. Their faces lit up with pure joy and love as they locked eyes, and the tenderness shared between them was a testament to the unbreakable connection they shared.

When her father turned around to see Cheyenne in her dress, he couldn’t hold back his emotions. The anticipation of seeing his daughter as a bride overwhelmed him during their first look, and once again during their first dance. With tears welling up in his eyes, Cheyenne lovingly wiped away her father’s tears as they swayed to the beautiful melody of “I Loved Her First.” It was all I could do not to cry with them!

As the night progressed, a surprise awaited everyone as the groom’s father took to the stage with the band. His rendition of “Under the Boardwalk” was simply outstanding, rivaling even The Drifters themselves. The heartfelt performance had everyone on their feet, captivated by the soulful voice that filled the air. It was a magical moment that will surely be remembered by all who attended.

Cheyenne and Austin, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your engagement session and wedding day! I have enjoyed getting to know both of you over the last several months. It was an honor to be a part of this extraordinary day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share these memories with you. I wish both of you the absolute best and a lifetime of happiness together!
