It’s not every day that you get to witness a cherished client’s journey from high school senior to bride-to-be, but that’s exactly what happened recently with Averee and Gus. I’ve known Averee for over a decade, having first met her when I worked with her mom. A few years later, I had the pleasure of photographing her senior portraits. Not many know this, but Averee’s senior portraits were the reason I started blogging my senior sessions. She and her friends also inspired me to start my senior spokesmodel team after doing a group session together! It feels like just yesterday she was a bright-eyed high school senior, and now she’s preparing for one of the most significant milestones of her life: marriage.

Shortly after high school, Averee met Gus. They have been dating for the last four years and have created countless memories together. Their time together has been filled with adventures, deep conversations, and growing together as a couple. From celebrating special occasions to simply enjoying each other’s company, their relationship has truly blossomed into something beautiful.

For their engagement session, we returned to a location that holds a special place in Averee’s heart – her neighborhood. It’s remarkable how much can change in a few years, yet some things remain timeless. The same charming pond and open field that once framed Averee’s senior portraits now set the stage for her engagement photos with Gus.
