I first met Kylie’s family over a decade ago through my very first job in Selma. Since then, our paths have crossed through nearly every job I’ve held. It has been neat to watch Kylie grow up over the years and getting to photograph this milestone for her was such a privilege. She has accomplished so much already and her hard work shines through in everything she does.

We started her senior session at the Selma Country Club, which felt like the perfect fit for her. Kylie has spent countless hours on the tennis courts, not only playing but also giving back to the sport she loves. For the past couple of summers, she has hosted tennis day camps for younger players, including my daughter, Camryn, who has absolutely loved participating.

After wrapping up at the courts, we drove out to a private estate in Tyler for the rest of her portraits. The charming home was surrounded by a beautifully kept yard that looked straight out of a magazine. The late afternoon light, paired with the timeless Southern backdrop, made every spot on the property feel photo-worthy.

Throughout the afternoon, Kylie brought such natural energy and poise – qualities that also earned her the title of this year’s Distinguished Young Woman of Dallas County. She knew how to relax, laugh, and just be herself in front of the camera, which made my job so enjoyable. Every location and outfit felt like a true reflection of who she is at this exciting point in her life.
