Marion Junction, Alabama Senior Session

Posted in: Senior Spokesmodels, Seniors

Kenlee’s senior session started with me watching the sky a little more than usual. On the drive there, the clouds were dark and the rain started falling. I spent the entire drive praying the weather would hold off long enough for her session. When I arrived, it was still cloudy, but I’m so thankful it wasn’t raining.

Recently, Kenlee sprained her ankle and has been in a boot ever since. She showed up ready to go, boot and all, and we jumped right in. She took photos at the beginning of her session wearing it, not letting it slow her down one bit. Before long, Kenlee had removed the boot and took the rest of her portraits without it. The craziest part is that she also graduated Kindergarten with a sprained ankle! What are the odds?

We spent the evening moving around different spots on the hunting land where Kenlee has spent a lot of time over the years. One of my favorite spots was the golden field. The clouds began to break, the sun came through, and the light turned soft and warm in the way you hope for but can’t plan. That kind of glow around her felt like such a gift in the midst of a gloomy day. We finished the evening at a spot they affectionately call Heaven Hill, watching the sun set and taking in those last few quiet moments as the light slowly faded behind the trees across the open field.

Kenlee, it has been such a joy having you on my spokesmodel team this year! Getting to know you and photograph you throughout your senior year has meant so much. I am grateful you trusted me with your senior session and truly honored to be part of such an important milestone in your life.
