The moment you walked inside, you could smell the sweet aroma of the hundreds of Easter lilies that filled the sanctuary. They waited a lifetime for this moment. With each bridesmaid and groomsman that walked down the aisle, his heart pounded faster. In just a few minutes, he would finally get to see his bride. The fanfare played. Guests rose to their feet. The doors swung open and there she was. She and her dad glided down the aisle. His smile grew larger with every step they took toward him. Her dad gave her away and he finally got to hold her hand. They exchanged vows and rings as he anxiously waited to kiss his bride. Then it happened. The pastor said those words he had been waiting all day to hear, “Matt, you may kiss your bride.”
Guests traveled from near and far to witness the marriage of Matt and Lindsay at First Baptist Church of Selma. The sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was the perfect day for a wedding. Smiles and hugs were abundant on the lawns of Sturdivant Hall. All the food was incredible, but the groom’s cake was a show-stopper. Matt loves Little Debbie snacks and they had the groom’s cake made out of them! Hands down my favorite groom’s cake ever!
Lindsay and Matt, thank you so much for asking me to be part of your wedding day! I loved every minute, but my favorite part was watching the way you looked at each other and the overflowing joy you had immediately after you were married. I am so excited for both of you and super jealous of your upcoming Alaskan cruise!
