The suspense was killing her.  While she was planning the perfect destination wedding, he was planning the perfect surprise honeymoon.  The morning of their wedding, she had her bags packed, but had no clue where he was taking her.  I tried to get him to tell me where they were going, but he said, “Everyone will know soon.”  Moments later, we delivered his letter to her to read.  He filled up two cards of words to describe his love for her and how he was excited to marry her.  She read the card aloud and when she got to the last part of the letter, she finally knew where they were going – Kauai!  She was so excited and could not believe she would get to go back to Hawaii so soon!  He proposed on Makua Beach in Hawaii just a few months ago and now they get to explore another island!

Shortly after the ceremony, Marleigh and Preston had private toasts on the balcony of the farm house at Old Edwards Inn.  Preston had been carrying the letter he received from Marleigh in the pocket of his coat and proudly showed it to her.  He asked if she had his with her. She looked at her dress and laughed, “Umm, where would I put it?” I loved watching these two joke around with each other all day.  There was not a moment throughout the entire day where one wasn’t trying to make the other laugh.

The entire weekend was a joyous celebration.  From the rehearsal dinner and toast party to the sparkler exit, every moment exuded happiness and elegance.  Nearly 200 people traveled from different cities and different states to celebrate Marleigh and Preston in Highlands, North Carolina.  You are both loved by so many, which was evident not only in their presence at your wedding, but also they way they spoke about you at the toast party.  

Marleigh and Preston, I cannot thank you enough for asking me to photograph your destination wedding!  You could have chosen a local photographer, but you chose me and I will always appreciate that.  The highest compliment to a photographer is getting hired a second time and this was my third for your sweet family.  Huge thank you to the entire Jones family for trusting me as your wedding photographer!  I wish you both a marriage that’s more beautiful than your picture-perfect destination wedding!
