Anticipation was high. Excitement was even higher. The day they had been waiting for was finally here. They spent most of the morning getting ready and making sure every detail was perfect. Jamie made his way to the church to meet Maddy and see her for the first time in her wedding gown. He was more anxious than nervous and his heart was pounding. Then it happened. He turned around and his jaw dropped. His beautiful bride was even more gorgeous than he imagined and it brought him to tears. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to marry her.
Friends and family gathered at a small historic church to witness Maddy and Jamie vow to love each other for the rest of their lives. The reception was across the street at the Marengo House, a historic home that is tucked behind a seemingly endless driveway of tall trees. Every room was filled with historic décor and sweet little details. The flowers, the cake, the candles, and antique furniture all made the home feel whimsical and romantic. I lost count of how many times I said, “This is so perfect.”
Maddy and Jamie, thank you so much for inviting me into your lives to photograph such an important milestone! You are both filled with so much joy and I love how you make each other laugh. And thank you for laughing at all my lame jokes! 😉 I hope you both have an amazing time in the Dominican Republic!
