Safford Alabama Engagement Session

Posted in: Engagements/Couples

Dallas has been a long-time follower and fan of my business.  I always saw her name on my notifications and I finally got to meet her in person a few years ago when she started working at my orthodontist’s office.  I was excited when I saw she was engaged and ecstatic when she messaged me to photograph her October wedding at Donavan Inn!

One of the things I love about living in a rural area is that many of the people I photograph have their own land or farm.  I love it because they always want to do their session on their property.  It is something special to them and it is a unique location for me.

As I was driving up, I saw some horses and hoped that we could incorporate them somehow.  There was no horsing around when we drove over to the barn. 😛 We were on a mission to get cute photos with the horses.  They walked up to us as if they knew it was time for their photo op.  After a few photos with the horses, the wind started picking up.  Hair was flying.  Shirts were waving.  We moved closer to the house where the trees could block the wind.  We even got a few photos with their adorable pups!  It seriously looks like they were smiling for the camera (see the last photo below).  We got that shot within seconds of them getting into place!

Dallas and John, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding and for supporting my business all these years.  I am thrilled that I get to photograph someone who has loved my work since the beginning!  Even though you have never had professional photos taken before, I think you both looked pretty comfortable together!  It is quite evident that you two are smitten with each other.  I cannot wait to photograph your beautiful fall wedding!
