Countryside Bridal Session

Posted in: Bridals, For Brides

You’ve heard me say a thousand times that bridal sessions are my favorite.  I only get to do a handful a year, but I love them more and more each time.  Bridal portraits are one of my favorite Southern traditions.  We usually take them about four weeks before the wedding after the final alterations have been completed.  It’s the perfect time to do a trial run with your hair and makeup to see how gorgeous you will look on your wedding day.  If you’re not familiar with bridal sessions, check out my blog post here where I explain them in detail.

Michaela and Dow rocked their engagement session last year, which was unfortunately before I started blogging engagement sessions.  However, I knew Michaela would knock her bridal session out of the park too!  I did use some of their engagement photos in another blog post here!

My jaw dropped as soon as I walked in and saw Michaela in her dress.  It dropped again when I walked outside and saw the incredible view!  With a stunning bride, dress, details, and background, I knew these portraits would easily become some of my favorites.

Toward the end of her session, I had the crazy idea to get Michaela to lay on the ground in her dress.  Thankfully, she was totally up for it because it is my absolute favorite photo from the entire session!

Michaela, thank you so much for choosing to do a bridal session with me!  I had so much fun with you, your mom, and your aunt that day!  Thank you for trusting me when I asked you to do something that felt silly – you totally nailed every single shot.  I am so blessed that I got to know you through your engagement session, bridal session, and your wedding!
