Selma Artist Branding Session

Posted in: Branding

AC Reeves was one of the first people I met when I moved to Selma in 2013.  I will never forget my first day as Tourism Director for Selma and Dallas County because AC took me to get coffee and drove me around the city.  You could hear the passion in her voice.  She’s a mover, a shaker, and a visionary.  I had never met anyone with more determination.  That was almost 8 years ago and AC is still doing her part to move Selma forward.

At the beginning of this year, I had the opportunity to photograph some of AC’s artwork.  She has a gorgeous multi-purpose studio where she creates work in various media.  The most prominent artwork at the moment is her cyanotype prints.  The entire process is fascinating to me and if you ever get a chance to ask her about them, you should!

She also completely renovated the Woolworth building in downtown Selma and turned them into an Airbnb!  You can book them here.  The natural light that floods each room is incredible!  I photographed a bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in one of the lofts and the light was a photographer’s dream!  Check out that wedding here.  AC has photos posted around the building of the original condition of the lofts before she applied her magic touch.  The transformation is unreal!

I had so much fun photographing AC and listening to her talk about the things she loves!  I shared a behind the scenes reel on Instagram last week if you want to take a peek 🙂

AC, thank you for always doing your part to make Selma a better place.  Your passion for progress is inspiring and I hope others will continue to follow your lead.  Thank you for trusting me to take these photos to represent you and your brand!  I look forward to many more collaborations with you!
