Marion Junction, Alabama Engagement Session

Posted in: Engagements/Couples

Any time there is an option to do your engagement session at a place that is special to you, I am absolutely always up for that option! I knew we were doing Cheyenne and Austin’s engagement session at Austin’s family farm. What I didn’t realize until during the session is that Cheyenne and Austin had their second date next to the lake. Cheyenne laughed as she told me about falling in the mud and how Austin cleaned her shoes for her. In fact, Austin is still a perfect gentleman to his future bride. As we stopped at different areas of the farm, Austin opened the car door for Cheyenne every time. You don’t see that too often these days!

We saved the lake for sunset at the end of our session when the light would be best. The bright sky reflected on the tranquil water. Cheyenne and Austin’s future home glistened in the background. How cool is it that their second date was at this spot that will also be their home together?? I just imagine them looking at the water every day and remembering that second date. Laughing together about falling in the mud. Reliving those moments where they fell in love. And now they have a new memory to add – their engagement session! 🙂

Cheyenne and Austin, thank you so much for choosing me to document this season of your lives! I had so much fun exploring the farm with you and I am so excited for your wedding this summer! Thank you for trusting me every time I asked you to do a pose that felt silly. Just remember – if it feels weird, it looks great. And it usually creates the most genuine smiles, which is always my goal. I hope you love your engagement photos as much as I do!
