Once upon a time, a handsome groom and a beautiful bride got married at Ridge Pointe Events Venue in Alpine, Alabama. If you’ve ever talked to Kaitlyn, you know that she is obsessed with Disney. She and Blake had a ton of subtle Disney references woven throughout their wedding day. See how many you can spy in their photos!

During Kaitlyn and Blake’s portraits, Kaitlyn’s heels kept sinking into the grass. It was still a little damp from the rain earlier in the week. It got to the point where Kaitlyn couldn’t walk through the grass and Blake had to carry her. I looked up and immediately noticed that one of Kaitlyn’s shoes had fallen off. Cinderella moment, anyone??

Then while we were taking bridesmaid photos, a cricket hopped into Kaitlyn’s dress. The song, “Honor to Us All,” from Mulan started playing in my head. Now add a cricket, just for luck. We of course removed the cricket from her dress, but I loved that little nod to a Disney princess!

The cherry on top of this gorgeous wedding day was when Kaitlyn arrived to the ceremony by horse and carriage. Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds took tons of photos with the horse and carriage. The light was perfect and these are easily some of my favorite portraits!

How fun is it that this Disney-loving duo had real life fairytale moments sprinkled throughout their wedding day?

Another moment definitely worth mentioning is when Kaitlyn and Blake read their vows to one another. Blake tearfully read his vows and they both began laughing uncontrollably. It was pure joy to witness this indescribable moment between the two of them!

Kaitlyn and Blake, thank you for inviting me into your lives during this season! I have enjoyed getting to know both of you over the last year. Your engagement, bridal, and wedding photos are among my all-time favorites. All the wedding planning with you has been so fun, but now you get to start the rest of your lives together! I am so happy for both of you and so jealous of your honeymoon at Disney Aulani in Hawaii! Aloha, Mr. and Mrs. Sheffer!
