Gracie and Cooper’s wedding day was a celebration nearly a decade in the making. These two high school sweethearts have grown up together, building a relationship rooted in friendship, faith, and family.

Gracie had always dreamed of wearing her grandmother’s wedding dress, but unfortunately, the gown wouldn’t work. What happened next was one of the most touching moments of the day. Gracie’s mom, Rachel, secretly worked with AV Designs to create a wrap for Gracie’s bouquet using part of the original gown. When Gracie saw it, she burst into tears—and her grandmother did too. It was such a meaningful way to honor both a dream and a legacy.

Although Gracie and Cooper chose not to do a first look, they still found ways to exchange love and emotion before the ceremony. Gracie had a surprise gift for Cooper that left everyone in tears. Shortly after they got engaged, Gracie reached out to Cooper’s grandmother and asked if she could give Cooper his grandfather’s wedding band. Not only did she have it resized, but she also had a pin made with a photo of his grandfather and the words, “You are always in my heart.” When Cooper opened the gift, he immediately teared up and said, “This is weird. I haven’t cried in five years.” Meanwhile, I was behind the camera—crying like it was my job. I’m a sucker for sentimental gifts!

Gracie and Cooper, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day. I’ve loved getting to walk through so many seasons with y’all—from senior portraits to engagement to “I do.” Your love is the kind that inspires people. I’m so honored to have been part of your story.
