Last October, I photographed a styled shoot at Cedar Acres Ranch and I have been anxiously waiting for a bride and groom to get married there.  The all-white barn and stables would make any photographer swoon!  I was so excited when Madison booked me for her wedding, but my excitement escalated even further when she told me they booked Cedar Acres Ranch for their venue!

I met Madison when she was a bridesmaid in her cousin’s wedding, which was the very first wedding that I blogged in 2018!  Literally my second blog post ever, but it’s one that I’m still proud to share years later.  Less than a year after that wedding, Madison and Russell started dating.

Russell proposed to Madison in downtown Prattville a few months ago.  She thought they were just taking some quick Christmas photos, but Russell had other plans.  And now they are planning a wedding in the midst of work, school, and what everyone hopes is the end of a global pandemic!

You probably can’t tell from the photos, but this was the first time Madison and Russell have taken professional photos together.  They warned me that they were “awkward” and didn’t know what they were doing, but look at them!  They look like they have been modeling their entire lives.  I promise no one was more awkward than me at their session!  I do whatever I can to get those genuine smiles 🙂

Madison and Russell, thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer!  I am thrilled to capture your engagement session, bridal session, and wedding this year!  Thank you for trusting me when I asked you to do silly things.  As I always say, “If it feels weird, it looks great!”  I hope you enjoyed your Taco Bell date after we finished your session 🙂  Can’t wait for your November wedding at Cedar Acres Ranch!  It’s going to be gorgeous!
