Is there anything more timeless than a classic black tuxedo and a white satin gown with a long veil? When Hannah told me they were getting married at The Oaks, I knew it was going to be a gorgeous summer wedding. This historic plantation home is full of southern charm!
If you have followed me for a while, you know I’m a sucker for details – the more sentimental, the better! Hannah meticulously incorporated so many sweet details. She wore a solitaire diamond necklace that her dad had given to her mom and a gold ring that her grandfather gave to her when she was 3. She also had a portrait charm of Andrew’s mom pinned to her bouquet. For the ceremony, there was a portrait of Andrew’s mom and a bouquet in her honor placed on the first pew.
You can plan every detail of your wedding day and even with a coordinator, something is bound to happen that you can laugh about later. For Hannah and Andrew, it was their wedding rings. When the ceremony started, the maid of honor realized that the rings were still in the bridal suite. She told Hannah’s sister-in-law, who told the coordinator, who rushed to get the rings. The coordinator made it back with the rings just after the officiant asked for them. Everyone present had a good laugh about the situation and it makes for a great wedding story!
When it was time for the first dances, we realized Hannah had changed shoes. She exchanged her satin mules for a pair of light up sneakers! Once I learned that Andrew had a matching pair, I *had* to get some pictures of them together! Their night portraits with their light up shoes and foam glow sticks are definitely some of my favorites!
Hannah and Andrew, I cannot thank you enough for including me in your proposal, destination engagement session, and your wedding! It means the world to me that you chose me to photograph all these milestones. I will forever be obsessed with your wedding photos and I hope they make your jaw drop again like when I showed you the back of my camera. The two of you are some of the sweetest people I know and I hope you have the best honeymoon in your favorite place – Panama City!

Great job Ashley! I’ve been waiting for this one too! The location, the beauty, the handsomeness, the sentimental touches, the fun (light-up shoes are awesome!) – all perfection!! My Katelyn told me it was the sweetest! I hope Hannah posts all the pictures!!
